Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou is the youngest of four kids born August 9th, 1976. She was born from Beaumont Puy of Domme. The actress was encouraged by her parents, dentist and teacher who were both instructors in her pursuit of her passion in the theatre. This contrasted her earlier ambition to become a primateologist because she was a fan of monkeys. Her meteoric rise as a young actress was quick and accompanied with early success. When she completed her education as an actress, she was part of the French talent-scouting television programme Jeunes Premiers. She was awarded the title of Best Young Actress in the Beziers Festival of Young Actors and started her career as an actor. Tautou was educated at The Institut Catholique de Paris, and attended the Catholic Church as she was a child. But she's since left the church. The actress claims she's not legally Catholic. As well as her acting profession and modeling career, she has began a modeling career. Also, she is the spokesperson for L'Oreal Mont Blanc & Chanel and is sometimes referred to as the Chanel Muse. The model also has an photographic passion and has recently presented an exhibit of her photography at the Arles Festival under the title Superficial. The focus of her photography is stars, fame and press that scrutinized her after her fame-making debut with Amelie. Additionally, there are a number of photographs featuring herself. Audrey Tautou shot to stardom as well as international recognition with her first big role, starring as the lead in the film Le Fabuleux Destin de l'Amelie Poulain. Amelie is a global box-office hit, receiving accolades in award ceremonies all over the world. It is currently one of the top-performing French language movie in the US. In the years following the release of this film, Tautou starred in numerous films, including British films to Jean Pierre Jeunet's Un long dimanche de fiancailles. Later, she made her way to Hollywood and appeared alongside Tom Hanks alongside Ron Howard in The Da Vinci Code.
