Laura Linney, best known for portraying strong, but fragile characters, is one of the most well-known American actors of our times. She was raised by an unmarried mother, who worked as a nursing assistant. Her interest in the theatre during holidays with her father, who was famous. Her studies in acting were in Brown University, and later at Juilliard School. After graduating from Brown University in the year 2000, she made making her Broadway debut soon afterward. In the space of two years from the time, her debut film was released and the following year, her debut on television. Since then, she has appeared in countless films and stage and television productions. Throughout her career, she has received several awards. Some of them includes two Golden Globe Awards and four Primetime Emmy Awards as well as three Academy Award nominations and five Tony Award nominations. Despite her numerous nominations, she has a passion for acting and has performed on stage and screen.
