Jenna Fischer's best-known role was that of Pam Beesly from the popular TV show The Office. To honor the significance of her performance, she won the Emmy award for Outstanding Actress in the Supporting Role. In addition, she won two SAG Awards.
Her family was based on the streets of St. Louis Missouri. Jenna was awed by her mother, Anne, perform in church plays when she was younger, which instilled a love for theater and performing.
After wrapping up The Office, Fischer, who is a trained actress in the theater, went back to her home base. The Off-Broadway show she starred in was the production Reasons to be Happy which was written and directed by Neil LaBute and co-starring Josh Hamilton, Leslie Bibb, and Fred Weller. Following her appearance in Steve Martin's new production Meteor Shower (an absurdist comedy co-written by Greg Germann and Josh Stamberg), she performed in the record-breaking Old Globe Theatre's world premiere.
The Office star Angela Kinsey's best friend in real life and Fischer launched her own podcast, the Office Ladies podcast, on Earwolf, in October of the year 2019. The podcast soon gained popularity. Each week it ranked in the Top Ten in global downloads which topped 200 million downloads in its beginning two years. Office Ladies took home the iHeart Radio Podcast of the Year award in January 2021.
She is the writer of two books, The Actor's Life and a Survival Guide In it, she recounts her experience through St. Louis to Hollywood in order to be a professional actor. She is also the author of Office BFF's: Tales of The Office From Two of the Best Friends Who Were There (co-authored by Angela Kinsey), which is a memoir of their best friendship and time working for The Office.
